Verified Reviewer | Westby, WisconsinNefarious credit card payment system
Consumers beware, unless written notification of non-renewal is provided 60 days in advance of the final service date of the current term, they will auto-subscribe you for another 12-month term. My monthly payments went from $284 to $355.
They sent no email notification when my term was nearing the end. I was dealing with a dying father at the time and when I asked Lands of America to cancel my subscription and to stop charging my card, my rep told me that he couldn't. My only alternative was to cancel my credit card and get a brand-new card with new numbers. After doing that, I discovered that Lands Of America has it set up to continue with the auto-pay, even with a brand-new card.
A phone call directly to MasterCard finally put a block on this merchant.
The way this company operates is underhanded, and they deliberately make it almost impossible to cancel a subscription. My credit card company was appalled by their tactics.
User's recommendation: Avoid this company.

Verified ReviewerSelling fake property
I contacted him several times about their fake ads. And fake realty companies advertising on their page.
They still haven’t removed the ads and have added more posts from the same realty companies that doesn’t exist. Nothing but a scam!

After being bought out, hey have increased their pricing to $900 per month ...
Preferred solution: Pass nationwide Government Legislation to require companies to give notice to a consumer prior to any auto-billing

This "automatic renewal" nonsense is a surprisingly common practice. That provision is stated somewhere in the original contract (you will need a 16x jeweler's loupe magnifier to find it).
The only remedy is to furnish a written cease and desist demand and serve via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested. Keep all receipts and copies of correspondence. You must do usually a minimum of 30 days prior to the onset of the "new" billing period, but it is best to read the contract in case they've tinkered with that, too. They may well attempt to bill you 3-4 months ahead of the 'renewal' date.
Advise your financial institution of the 'drop dead' date for this vendor and to dishonor any attempts at billing and collection after that date. (I'm surprised that your rep was 'surprised' at the request). It's a disgusting way to "keep customers" and is not designed for your convenience of uninterrupted bliss. Folks need to remember to read everything they sign, we're all guilty of at least some of that omission.
There is an increasing number of bottom feeders who prey upon ordinary, normal thinking folks that a yearly contract is exactly that. Thank you for bringing this emerging issue to the forefront of this forum ; another example of such a company : Terminix (harder to get rid of than the bugs)
